8000 women got abortions in states where it's banned (monthly!)

turns out i’m not depressed, i just needed to find out that women got even more abortions after a bunch of guys try to ban it.

The morning that Roe was overturned, I told women in red states how to defy bans and get abortions even where it’s illegal. While I was worried that this would land me in legal jeopardy (or in my deportation era) it felt imperative to spread a message of defiance rather than submission when women’s fundamental rights were being stripped away.

Two years later, we’ve learned that this strategy was more successful than we thought and it’s because of one specific thing…
