I think it would be an interesting experiment to use the same prompt from different locations. I am in Canada where abortions are legal across the country (for now). I entered the same copy as Liz and was able to get information about accessing abortion services.

🙌🏽 for putting this all in one place.

This was very timely as my husband got his vasectomy today and I cannot begin to tell you how nonchalant it all was. The difference between this and my experience with the entire spectrum of reproductive health services was not surprising but stung all the same. As he was leaving, he read the post op notes and was like “oh, I guess I can’t be on my feet for 3 days” which deeply impacts our ability to coparent. They didn’t feel the need to mention that to him? Why would they? It’s not his responsibility according to this place. I’m melting this week. Just melting.

I decided against contributing to the stain that is humanity by getting a vasectomy when I was 29. Best 50 bucks I ever spent.

I could be wrong about this, but I believe that in some red states it is illegal to help women get abortions. You can't give them advice. You can't point them in the right direction. You're not supposed to aid or abet them in any way.

Maybe the creators of ChatGPT did this to avoid any legal consequences. It's kind of cowardly, but they didn't have a choice.

I'm not entirely sure about this. That's just what I've heard.
