Like you, I have more questions than answers. But this is one of the most horrific things I've witnessed in my lifetime. To everyone saying "What about....", yes. I know. Outrage has to be selective by nature or we would be in a perpetual state of outrage. We can't function that way. But this is such a horrific situation that it's clearly gotten the attention of the world. And the fact that we seem to be standing by just watching makes me feel helpless.
thank you for sharing chris ❤️ i believe we are at a turning point on this conflict and that more of us are waking up and holding our elected leaders accountable don’t give up.
*Funding. (Not merely standing by, but actively funding.) Not only has the US provided the IDF with monetary support, but my governor here in Illinois gives tax breaks to Boeing, the manufacturer profiting off of all those bombs Israel just dropped on the heads of Gazan children.
You're very right. I was talking about the citizens, not the government. I know citizens are in the streets. They should be. But we're powerless right now as the government actively funds this.
I will keep leaving voicemails and writing letters and hitting the streets. (It’s the only way I can sleep at night.) but I’ve deactivated my FB and deleted my Twitter because I physically can’t handle the gore auto playing in my feed, and because I am heartbroken by how many genocide apologists are among the people I thought I shared values with. Thank you for writing this ❤️ Keep going ✊🏼

Thank you so much for writing something so beautiful and sharing it. As a Palestinian this meant a lot to me. Thank you again.
I've heard rumors that Israel is going to permanently occupy or even annex the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians who live there will be displaced.
I don't know if that's true. It's probably just a conspiracy theory. However, if it is true, Israel will have lost the moral high ground permanently.
I just read that the Israeli Finance Minister has called on the people of Gaza to "voluntarily" emigrate to other countries. He wants them out.
That sounds an awful lot like ethnic cleansing to me.
