That’s the only thing I took umbrage with in the discussion was this idea of a lazy girl. The last thing the patriarchy needs is a label to latch into to minimize what women are doing.
For instance, I’m not in management nor am I aspiring to climb the org chart. I’ve got a good solid paying job that allows me to work from home and that has a nice chunk of PTO (which I take liberally). I’m no GirlBoss but I’m no LazyGirl either. I’m just a woman doing her best.
I wish there was a better way to describe it but I’ve got nothing at the moment.
I wasn't. I was yelling at the title of this piece. My phone wouldn't let me put my comment where I wanted it. You called yourself a woman, brava and thank you <3
do you want power or freedom?
Freedom hands down. I want the people to have power, however, but they don't. They don't use the power they have because those with power divide them!
Why is the opposite of powerful job a lazy job? Some of the hardest jobs come with no power and low pay.
such a great point!!

WOMAN, not girl!!! We don't call men "boys," nor do they. "Girl" is an ageist and diminishing adjective.
Why are you yelling at me? Did I not refer to myself as ‘just a woman doing her best’? Pretty sure I did. 🤨

Please stop using the word "girl" when it should be "woman." It's demeaning.
