Sure, I'll listen except when they talk about voting for Jill Stein. They just don't understand what a huge threat Trump is.

Hey Liz,

I want to be part of your livestream, but I'm afraid that I won't have anything to contribute on that topic. Is there some other way I could contribute? Maybe I could be the timekeeper again to make sure people don't talk for too long?

I'm frustrated with the paternalistic and patronizing narrative of "you can protest, just not like that," which often seems like a thinly veiled attempt to silence dissent. However, I recognize that discussions around tactics can be contentious, and I'm mindful of not wanting to perpetuate a "if you disagree, ignore it" mentality. I want people to be able to find a way to both champion the anti-war message and also not get hung up on the tactics of the protest. Another caveat, I do not want to get in the way - my middle-aged, middle-income, white, male self very often is in the way (and not just at parties, though that's also an issue. So add awkard to the mix) - but I want to support. How?
