Highly, highly recommend the book ‘Femina’ by Janina Ramirez in regards to “medieval anti woman” laws. Patriarchal history has inserted more misogyny into the histories than what may have truly been present. Not at all saying that the patriarchy hasn’t maligned women historically, but there is a reason so many Suffragettes we’re also medievalists. Medieval women had agency that patriarchal historians have worked aggressively to erase. Thank you for being you, Liz, and doing all you do!! Can’t wait to dive into Synced.
