Hope you had a joyous birthday, my fellow Piscean! I definitely think Millennials have been dealt a bad hand. Somewhere between GenX and y’all, greed reared its ugly head like never before. When college became so expensive, it priced many out of the opportunity to attend. For those who went, insane amounts of debt became the norm. Sadly, your generation has had to play catch up without a lot of success. So you’re right. In lieu of not owning homes, or having to work 2-3 jobs to pay for rent, I think you’ve had to make life and work more meaningful and to live with more purpose. That’s something us older folks can learn from you. I just wish you could have your adventurous and empathetic spirits as well as the opportunities of previous generations.
With my birthday on fast approach this week and a long history of being told I'm immature, I frequently find myself wondering if I'm "acting my age" but also "what does 'acting my age' even mean?" Especially this weekend while visiting friends and squeezing in time to watch an esport tournament. I have no good answers, but I can say I have similar feelings.
The way this hits!! *Cry laughs in millennial*
*cries in millennial pause*
This totally resonates with me, Liz. I wrote about similar feelings like this last week. https://open.substack.com/pub/corrienance/p/letting-go-of-the-timeline?r=4fqi5&utm_medium=ios
